Introduction
Our tax team is looking for reinforcement (d/m/w) for the independent VAT support of two European sales companies with registrations in various EU countries as well as local companies. This position offer flexibilty and development opportunities and is open also on part-time basis (min. 75%).Job DescriptionAccompanying and giving technical VAT support to all European Coherent Group entitiesSingle point of contact for Coherents internal & external stakeholders  Responsible for VAT information and filings including monthly and annual returns, notices, voluntary disclosure, audits, appeals, and any other VAT controversies (VAT compliance)Monitor / develop VAT processes and controls to ensure proper calculation, collection and remittance of VAT to mitigate risks within the GroupCreation and monitoring of the VAT matrix in Oracle and review or other ERP system processes to ensure complete and accurate complianceResponsible for process optimization and implementation and maintenance of indirect tax related tax software and technology tools, including oversight of automation and artificial intelligence toolsMonitor changes to indirect tax laws and analyze and communicate the impactSupport with tax audits and other authorities’ requestsRecruit, train, and supervise additional VAT team members and other internal stakeholders involved in VAT complianceQualificationBusiness studies or comparable training, tax consultant exam desirableAt least 6 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international industrial companyVery good knowledge of EnglishConfident handling of Excel, knowledge of Oracle or ERP system an advantageResponsibility and ownership as well as strong teamwork and communication skills complement our team perfectlyBenefitsResponsible and challenging tasks in an exciting working environmentIndividual development opportunities and possibilities for further trainingFlexible working schedule and a pleasant working atmospherePossibility of working from home (hybrid)Participation in the company-wide bonus systemFree parkingJobRadContactAre you interested?
