My client is looking for an entrepreneurial and energetic / dynamic Director of Finance & Operation to join very exciting and fast expanding technology Software companies, reporting to the CEO and part of the management team.

Location: Münich. Office based role. Minimum 3-4 days in the office.


The ideal candidate will have more than 6-8 years of experience as a Director of Finance/CFO A proven track record in having been involved in funding and working with PE/Investors. Additionally, the role will also carry the COO function of the company and will help in growing this profitable SaaS company.


The candidate MUST have experience as a of Finance for a SAAS SOFTWARE company (PLEASE NOTE: candidates who have not worked for a software company for the last 5 years will be automatically rejected).


The VP of Finance will be managing all key financial areas, including, but not limited to financial planning & cash flow management, investor reporting, set-up and growth of controlling, accounting & transfer pricing, supplier negotiations and M&A / execution of future funding rounds


Additionally, the COO/ VP Finance will also have the responsibility to manage all Operations including,

  • Supervising operational teams
  • Collaborating with c-suite executives and working with investors.
  • Reviewing operational employees
  • Implementing strategies
  • Developing performance goals
  • Identifying talent and manage all aspect of Human Resources


Ideally, the candidate will have a mix experience in working for SasS software start-ups and also a large software organisation.


German Accounting qualification is a MUST. US GAAP is also required.


Experience in opening up / establishing and international offices would be ideal.


Fluent / Native German required. Other spoken languages such as French or Spanish will be a plus.
