Project Director

ROLE: Project Director (Renewable Energy)
LOCATION: Hamburg (Hybrid) - 3 days per week in office
LANGUAGE: German (C1 minimum) and English
As Project Director, you will assume a pivotal leadership role within our esteemed company's core team in Hamburg, spearheading a variety of transformative renewable energy projects.
Your Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the strategic direction and execution of multiple ground-breaking renewable energy projects across Europe, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Leading a diverse team of project managers and coordinators, fostering collaboration and driving excellence in project delivery.
- Travelling periodically to project sites for strategic oversight and stakeholder engagement. Playing a central role in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and budget oversight to ensure project success.
- Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders including investors, regulatory bodies, and technical partners to drive project advancement.
- Steering the project through various approval processes and regulatory compliance measures. Providing regular updates on project status, performance metrics, and milestones to senior management and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Proven track record of successful project leadership in the renewable energy sector. Exceptional educational background, preferably with a master's degree in a relevant field.
- 5-10 years of experience in project management, demonstrating proficiency in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Fluency in German (minimum C1) and English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a keen ability to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
