Our client is a global leader in the energy sector, driving the transition to sustainable power and striving to minimise environmental impact. To join their team in Hamburg, we are recruiting for a Senior Analyst for IT/OT Security Operations…


The Role and Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily IT/OT security tasks, lead security initiatives, and ensure operational continuity.
  • Support IT/OT departments with security-related duties, such as threat and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Oversee technologies like data loss prevention, endpoint security, network security, vulnerability management, third-party risk management, security incident and event management, security automation, secure email gateway, and firewall policy risk management.
  • Implement and improve security procedures and technologies.
  • Collaboration with Managed Service Providers, IT/OT teams, business partners, and security partners.
  • Ensure activities comply with security regulations, and IT/OT acquisitions align with security requirements.
  • Assist with security audits, control verification, evidence gathering, and remediation.
  • Engage in incident triage, investigation, service requests, system enhancements, and maintenance.
  • Evaluate cybersecurity performance and implement improvements.



Candidate Profile:


  • Ability to build team relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail orientated, analytical problem solver, and active learner
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or a diploma with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Certifications like CISSP, GICSP, GRID are advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of IT Security principles and practises, and familiarity with global Data Privacy laws (GDPR).
  • Awareness of critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity regulations, such as CRITIS and NIS2
  • Understands network design (LAN, WAN), network security concepts, and experience with network, endpoint, email, identity, and/or cloud security solutions.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
