Mantell Associates is partnered with an established and growing CDMO specialised in solid dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing, who is seeking a decisive and experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead its supply chain operations in Brandenburg.In this leadership role, you’ll ensure supply continuity, drive operational efficiency, and build a resilient, scalable supply chain capability.Head of Supply Chain - Responsibilities:Lead the full supply chain function for solid dosage form manufacturing - from procurement and supplier management to warehousing, logistics, and distribution - ensuring alignment with CDMO client commitments and manufacturing timelinesDevelop and implement strategic supply chain plans to support capacity growth, cost optimisation, and service excellence in a CDMO environmentManage and mentor a supply chain team, fostering a culture of reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceOversee supplier selection, qualification, performance monitoring, and vendor management practices - ensuring contractual and regulatory alignment with pharmaceutical manufacturing standardsCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams to support material availability, process transfers, tech-scale-up, and new client onboardingDrive data-driven supply chain decision making by monitoring KPIs (inventory turnover, OTIF, cost savings, supplier performance), identifying bottlenecks and initiating corrective actionsEnsure compliance with GMP, GDP, regulatory guidelines and internal processes across supply and production operationsHead of Supply Chain - Requirements:Fluent in German (spoken and written) and proficient in EnglishProven leadership experience in a supply chain or operations function within a CDMO or pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentSolid dosage form experience (tablets, capsules or related formats) with hands-on understanding of manufacturing, logistics and production interfacesStrong track record of leading teams and delivering in complex manufacturing settings, planning, procurement, and supply logisticsExcellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills - able to navigate internal and external relationships effectivelyBased in Germany (Brandenburg region preferred) or willing to relocate; legal eligibility to work in Germany requiredMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Science headhunting firm.
