Responsibilities:



- Lead and manage a medium-sized team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.


- Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of scalable and maintainable software solutions.


- Develop and implement best practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies to enhance team productivity and code quality.


- Act as the primary point of contact between development teams and stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical specifications.


- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.


- Identify skills gaps within the team and create tailored training and development plans.


- Manage and optimize the recruitment process for new developers, including creating job descriptions, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.


- Collaborate with HR and technical staff to build a strong and diverse talent pipeline.


- Ensure proper documentation of software systems and processes, establishing and maintaining technical documentation standards.


- Plan and allocate resources, manage budgets, and set achievable project timelines.


- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to quality standards, and lead problem-solving efforts to resolve technical challenges.


- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development team, focusing on efficiency, productivity, and innovation.


Technical Background Requirements:



- Proven experience as a Software Development Manager or similar leadership role in a technology-focused company.


- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Java Backend development, including frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate.


- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile (Scrum/Kanban).


- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control (Git), and DevOps principles.


- Experience in managing microservices architecture, REST APIs, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).


- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and performance optimization techniques.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make technical decisions and drive team alignment.
