Lead System Architect (Functional Safety) (d / m / w)

(Freiburg area, Germany)
Based in the engineering hub of South West Germany, an innovative and ferociously expanding company is offering an unparalleled Lead System Architect with Functional Safety (FuSa) experience role.
This special company develops world-leading process automation and factory automation products, positioning them as a market leader. During this exciting time, they urgently require a Lead System Architect to utilize their specialist skills to keep up with the demand of new projects, coordinate a team, and further fuel the progression of the company.
Responsibilities
- Full development life cycle of Embedded System Design
- Development of cutting-edge solutions in the field of Process Automation, directly with customers
- Conception of SW/HW architecture, test planning, and system validation
- Creation of requirements, and consequently support internal development engineers in prototyping
- Lead and coordinate a team of 4 x engineers, with the prospect of growth to 7+ engineers
Desired Skills and Experience
- Obtained a degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 2+ years experience in System Architecture, ideally in the field of Process Automation
- Ideally, 5+ years experience working as an Embedded Systems Engineer
- Excellent working knowledge of functional safety conferring to IEC 61508 and IEC 62061/ISO 13849
- Ideally experience targeting Embedded Systems, Actuators, Transmitters, or Explosion-proof environments
- Fluent English
