Our client is an investment banking boutique based in Munich, specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within the technology sector. The firm is known for its deep industry expertise, strategic advisory services, and strong track record of successful transactions. They are seeking a highly motivated and skilled M&A Associate to join their growing team.


Role Overview:


As an M&A Associate focused on the technology sector, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions for clients in the tech industry. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of M&A experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in technology-focused deals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Transaction Execution: Support and manage the execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and deal structuring.
  • Industry Research: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the technology sector, identifying trends, potential targets, and strategic opportunities for clients.
  • Client Engagement: Assist in preparing presentations, pitch materials, and transaction documents for clients, ensuring clear communication of strategic recommendations and deal progress.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and refine financial models to assess potential transactions, including valuation scenarios, synergies, and financing structures.
  • Deal Sourcing: Collaborate with senior team members to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the technology sector.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, associates, and senior bankers to ensure seamless execution of transactions and client satisfaction.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in M&A, preferably with a focus on the technology sector.
  • Fluent German
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant financial software.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the technology sector, including key trends, players, and competitive dynamics.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Languages: Fluency in German and English is required.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
