Job Title: Security Engineer - Mission Critical

Role Overview:

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical and cyber security of our data centres. You will implement, monitor, and manage security controls, protect sensitive information, and mitigate risks associated with the operation of data centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Design & Implementation: Design and deploy security systems and controls to protect data centres from unauthorized access, breaches, and other security threats.
  • Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks.
  • Incident Response: Develop and execute incident response plans for physical and cyber security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery.
  • Access Control: Manage and monitor physical access control systems, including badge systems, biometric authentication, and surveillance systems.
  • Monitoring & Surveillance: Oversee and operate security monitoring systems (SIEM, CCTV, IDS/IPS) to detect, prevent, and respond to suspicious activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure the data centres comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, physical security teams, and external vendors to ensure comprehensive protection of assets.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security protocols, incidents, and improvements to meet compliance and auditing needs.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in security engineering, preferably in a data centre or similar environment.
  • Proven expertise in managing physical and cyber security controls.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, and encryption technologies.
  • Experience with physical security systems (CCTV, biometrics, access controls).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Other Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
