Ourclient is a successful private equity fund dedicated to climateimpact investments. They are accelerating industrialdecarbonization by investing in mid-sized climate solutionproviders and supporting their green growth trajectory. Currently,they are seeking a fund finance director ready to join them ontheir exciting journey. The role is based inMunich, Germany and allows for a flexible home office arrangement.What the jobinvolves
- Lead andmanage all aspects of financial operations, encompassingaccounting, controlling, reporting, taxes, compliance, riskmanagement, and administration
- Contribute tothe development of financial strategies and long-term financialplanning
- Provide insights and recommendationsto optimize fund performance
- Oversee thepreparation and delivery of budgets, forecasts, and monthlymanagement accounts
- Create monthly reports forportfolio companies, as well as investorreports
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annualfinancial statements
- Evaluate KPIs at theportfolio company and at fund level
- Takeresponsibility for cash flow and liquiditymanagement
- Supervise all payments and ensurethe appropriate allocation of costs
- Handle alltaxation matters, including VAT, corporation tax, and other fiscalmatters, collaborating with advisers to ensure the most efficienttax structures are in place
- Supervise theannual audits for all group entities
- Managedata maintenance for portfolio companies
- Assistin investor relations matters, ensuring transparent communicationwith investors and handling ad hoc investor inquiries, as well asparticipating in fundraising activities
- Managevarious administrative matters, such as payroll, HR, and otherpayments
- Ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements and industry standards
- Monitor andensure adherence to ESG processes and reports (e.g.SFDR)
- Continuously develop and optimizeinternal processes and structures
- Act as acontact person for portfolio companies regarding selected financialmatters
- Serve as a main point of contact forexternal service providers, such as auditors, tax consultants, andbanks
- Universitydegree in finance, business administration, or relateddisciplines
- Significant relevant workexperience in a finance/controlling position, preferably within thefinance function of a PE/VC fund or in the audit/accountingadvisory department of a Big4 or consultingfirm
- Experience in creating financialstatements
- Prior exposure to risk managementand compliance is welcome
- Outstandingaccounting and controllingcapabilities
- Excellent MS Office skills,particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledgeof regulatory matters, including Bafin and GWG, isbeneficial
- Strong analytical skills and astructured approach to work
- Proactive andhands-on approach, accustomed to working independently, with anentrepreneurial mindset
- Team player with anopen-minded personality
- Strong communicationand presentation skills, with fluency in both German andEnglish
