AV Field Service Engineer (remote either around Frankfurt or Munich area)
Role Overview
Our client is a top-tier global audio-visual integrator, delivering AV and event services through numerous client partnerships worldwide. They are currently seeking a seasoned AV Field Service Engineer to join their Field Engineering team. This role involves representing the company, ensuring high levels of Customer Service through both onsite visits and remote technical support. Given the nature of Support Services, these tasks are governed by strict SLA’s and KPI’s. The successful candidate will build and maintain excellent Customer relationships while providing outstanding technical support for immediate fault resolution. You will be tasked with ensuring that fault resolutions meet Client expectations, maintaining the account's commercial impact. Additionally, you will manage and promptly update fault tickets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled AV Field Service Technician to join a well-established operation and have the chance to enhance and improve the service continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field service engineering tasks as needed
- Provide onsite service engineering at client locations as required
- Travel to client sites, including potential European travel
- Coordinate and support site and event activities
- Conduct preventative maintenance calls as necessary
- Rotate among various client sites as required
- Conduct site surveys
- Install small works and ensure successful handover to clients
- Work rotational shifts as required
- Complete administrative tasks to support engineering roles
Desirable Skills
- Technical proficiency in AV / VC / UC technologies
- Effective management of client communications and escalations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Capability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both on the phone and via email
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexible approach to work
- Native level of German, fluent English skills
