Job Requirements
- Create manufacturing, inspection planning documents such as Technical Instructions, SOP’s as required from the Master Process plans as well as planning and design of the equipment, devices, measuring equipment, etc. used.
- Carry out BoM, Cycle time, Manufacturing instruction and process planning drawing updates on Routers in SAP in line with Change control management
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities
- Support in carrying out FAI and Industrialization for a given product and process
- Embedding the processes & tools for this new customers engagement, in accordance with best practice
- Checking customer specifications (drawings, etc.) and technical negotiations with the customer regarding feasibility, quality and costs.
- Initiate and monitor production trials and analyze results.
- Analyzing problems, processes and weak points using test and error documentation as well as advanced quality tools (e.g. root cause analysis tools, 8D, statistical process control, FMEA, Lean Six Sigma, RR Production System).
- Implement a governance structure & reporting regime that allows the Customer & Quest global organizations to work effectively together for mutual success
- Develop a suite of KPI’s and process measures that supports success with accurate and timely reporting
- Work with Customer to develop, agree and implement goals & targets that will deliver performance excellence and growth
Required skills
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Processes & practices, Method of manufacture, Work study and Time study.
- General awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, PDM, SAP) and plant layout (Product, Process & Cellular) relevant to the business
