RESPONSIBILITIES:
DIRECTING THE PAYROLL LIFECYCLE In this capacity, you will assume total ownership of the fiscal cycle for your assigned portfolio, ensuring uncompromising precision and compliance. End-to-End Orchestration: Manage and execute comprehensive monthly payroll cycles for a dedicated client base (averaging 800–1,000 payslips). Compliance & Statutory Reporting: Direct all mandatory filings, including wage tax and social insurance, while managing the issuance of specialized regulatory certifications. Consultative Advisory: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for clients regarding complex wage tax and social security inquiries. Data Stewardship: Govern employee master data and orchestrate all correspondence with federal authorities and health insurance providers. Quality Assurance: Deconstruct complex payroll anomalies and execute rigorous quality audits to ensure permanent audit readiness. Fiscal Year-End & Audits: Spearhead year-end closing maneuvers and provide authoritative documentation for external audits (e.g., German Pension Insurance). Strategic Projects: Facilitate the seamless onboarding of new client accounts and catalyze process optimizations within the payroll department. Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of specialized tenure in German payroll accounting ( Lohnbuchhaltung ). Legal Command: A profound, up-to-date mastery of current German wage tax and social security legislation is mandatory. Linguistic Authority: Fluent command of German (C1 level) , characterized by superior written and verbal articulation. Technical Literacy: Proficiency in enterprise payroll software—while experience with SBS Lohn is a significant advantage, general software agility and MS Office mastery are required. Mindset: A structured, service-centric approach with the resilience to excel in a high-velocity digital ecosystem. Bonus

Specific expertise in construction payroll ( Baulohn ) or the public sector is highly prioritized.
