Purchasing Process Manager

Description
The Manager of Purchasing Process & Procedures is responsible for developing and standardizing processes to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. As a key member of the Purchasing Business Office Team in an Automotive Tier 1 supplier, you will drive the development and implementation of purchasing processes, including the creation of training materials. This role requires close collaboration with the entire purchasing organization and other stakeholders to define and balance needs, ensuring consistent and efficient global processes aligned with corporate standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage process and procedure functions, including adherence to quality standards such as IATF.
- Develop, implement, and define purchasing processes in collaboration with Category, Product Area, Program & Operational Purchasing, and other functions to ensure alignment and understanding within and outside the organization.
- Lead the harmonization of processes and continuous improvement activities to support the company's operating model and objectives.
- Provide leadership to related functions and team members.
- Support strategic initiatives and governance by conceptualizing processes.
- Ensure process efficiency and oversee training plans, including tracking progress.
- Work closely with business leaders to position the company for future growth and product portfolio expansion.
Requirements
- A completed university degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Approximately 6 years of relevant experience in a large multinational corporation, preferably within purchasing.
- Experience in the automotive and/or tech industry is preferred.
- Approximately 6 years of purchasing experience, preferably in both direct and indirect purchasing.
- Leadership experience with a track record of progression.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a cross-functional team, including matrixed resources.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex topics.
- Business fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in business or engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of the local language is preferred (German).
