About the Job:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of Wind Turbines, committed to driving the future of renewable energy and expanding their footprint in Europe. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee all technical operations. The COO will be responsible for the operational coordination of Project Management, Commercial teams, and Operations and Maintenance departments. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader with extensive experience in the wind industry, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions.


This role reports directly to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Operations Leadership: Oversee all technical operations, ensuring the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and innovation in the manufacturing and deployment of wind turbines.
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate and align the efforts of Project Management, Commercial teams, and Operations and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless integration and execution of projects.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives, driving growth and operational efficiency.
  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Global CEO and other senior executives to develop and execute strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration and alignment across the organization.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of working experience in the wind industry, with a proven track record of operational leadership and success.
  • Education: Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and innovation.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Language: Fluent English and German is required, Mandarin is a plus.
