Our Editorial Producer will be responsible for planning and executing written content for

the German website while collaborating with global content teams. Each day you will

challenge yourself by blending creativity, tennis knowledge, and trending news to produce high

quality content distributed domestically in your territory. We’re seeking an individual who is

organized, has an excellent work ethic, and a willingness to learn. This position requires

someone who will thrive in an environment that embraces constant innovation, collaboration,

and strong editorial judgement for news and social happenings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides editorial coverage on breaking news stories, compelling

and concise athlete and ATP & WTA tournament information from around the tennis

world, and longer features and player profiles.

• Produces original stories to increase visibility and impressions across the website,

identifies leading stories that will garner traffic, and translates top stories from the English

site.

• Works closely with the social media manager and graphics editor to complement editorial

coverage with additional assets.

• Assists all members of the Germany international team with daily operational needs,

content research and website production.

• Provides updates to editorial team in U.S. to assist and enhance international coverage.

• Uploads content, metadata, tagging and organization of data across all CMSs.

• Edits and translates stories from freelancers as needed.

• Proactively exercises journalistic judgment in maintaining accurate, unbiased coverage of

tennis and its players.

• Improves, suggests and provides options for optimizing workflows, mitigating technical

issues and responding to operational issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree or comparable education.

• Minimum 5 years’ professional work experience.

• Fluency in German, and strong understanding of English.

• Excellent communication skills and a clean writer who does not require extensive editing.

• Extensive experience working in multiple web and software CMSs.

• Passionate and knowledgeable about SEO, traffic growth, social media, and online trends.

• A self-starter who can work well independently and in a team environment.

• Passion for breaking news coverage and digital news coverage.

• An understanding of the “voice” of a website, and how a team, rather than just an

individual, can speak that voice.

• Well-rounded knowledge of tennis.

• Work on nights and weekends required around the tennis calendar.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects and wear many hats while maintaining professionalism.
