Purchasing Manager
We are working with a Fast growing Biotech company who are seeking a full-time (m/f/d) Purchasing Manager to become a member of their procurement team. Your expertise in procurement, supplier negotiations, and logistics management will be essential in formulating and executing procurement strategies, reducing costs, and guaranteeing a dependable supply chain. In this role, you will be tasked with fostering robust supplier relationships and enhancing supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Commence and execute procurement procedures from the ground up, adhering to industry standards and ensuring compliance while efficiently resolving any complaints that may arise.
- Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions for goods and services at both the San Jose and Providence locations.
- Formulate and implement robust procurement strategies aimed at enhancing cost efficiency, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to ascertain their procurement requirements and offer strategic insights.
- Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with key suppliers to guarantee a consistent and dependable supply chain.
- Ensure adherence to all pertinent regulations and standards governing logistics operations.
- Oversee and manage procurement and logistics expenditures, pinpointing opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancement.
- Evaluate and identify potential risks within the supply chain, devising contingency plans to address these risks effectively.
Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement; candidates eager to learn and advance their careers in Purchasing are encouraged to apply.
- Preferably possesses experience in logistics.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, management procedures, and supply chain operations.
- Proficient in ERP systems and possesses strong Excel skills.
- Fluency in both English and German is required.
- Experience in a startup environment is advantageous, along with the ability to adapt and grow rapidly.
