Specialist Purchaser – Recycled Plastics

Summary:

• The Specialist Purchaser for recycled plastic raw materials is responsible for purchasing raw materials in line with the market and on time. As part of the purchasing team, he/she coordinates the provision of goods together with production and order processing and is responsible for raw material stocks.
• He/she knows the European market for recycled plastics, finds new suppliers and optimizes supply chains via suppliers, dealers and their own in-house grinding plant.

Main tasks and their expected results:

• Purchase of recycled raw materials in order to source the production supply in terms of costs and quality.
• Search for and validation of new raw material sources for regrind and recyclates in order to reduce the cost through new alternative raw material sources domestically and abroad.
• Coordination and arrangement of the supply with internal specialist departments in order to optimize flow of goods and reduction of stocks.
• Search for and validation of new raw material sources from plastic waste streams in order to reduce the cost through further processing in the grinding plant.

Your Profile:

• Educated in a technical or business discipline.
• At least 5 years in the plastic raw material industry with a corresponding network.
• Several years of experience in purchasing.
• Self-propelled, business fluent networker.
• Fluent in German and English.
