Responsibilities:
  • Execute the detailed technical aspects of FuSa analysis, requirements, design and verification & validation (V&V)
  • Execute safety analyses (Quantified Fault-Tree, FMEA, Common-mode analysis, reliability analysis)
  • Define system requirements and specifications.
  • Define system V&V plans and methods.
  • Implementation of safety design best practices.
  • Develop Functional Safety aspects of the DVP&R (System V&V)
  • Support verification (Peer) reviews of design, analysis and V&V – prepare reports.
  • The FSE authority: defining specifications and preparing technical reports for hardware engineering requirements, analyses, design and V&V.
  • Experience in controls system (Battery Management Systems)
  • Collaborate with Electronics/SW Safety Team to review Functional and Technical Safety requirements.
  • Perform ASIL decomposition and common cause analysis.
  • Create Safety requirements consistent with ISO 26262 Part 5.
  • Develop safety concept and support design team (including Electronics and Software) in implementing according to ISO 26262
  • Perform qualitative analysis (FMEA, FTA) and quantitative analysis (FMEDA)
  • Perform system verification and confirmation reviews.
  • Work with multidisciplinary team of software, mechanical, system, test, safety, and production engineers to develop a successful product.
  • Follow program timing and deliver results according to plan to ensure successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted timing and cost constraints.
  • Ability to effectively work with and lead in a cross functional team environment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Solid years of professional experience in electronics FuSa
  • Experience with automotive product development and qualification
  • Detailed training in ISO 26262 Functional Safety Engineering
  • Hands on experience in deriving Functional Safety work products as per ISO 26262
  • Experience or training in safety analysis (HARA, FMEA, Fault-Tree, Common mode analysis)
  • Experience in ASPICE
  • Experience in tools like JAMA, JIRA, GitHub, Cameo System Modeler, Medini Analyse/Reliability Workbench etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator to effectively communicate ideas
  • Fluency In English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TUV FuSa Certified Automotive Engineer
  • Safety of the intended function (SOTIF)
  • German language skills on upper intermediate level
  • Li-Ion Battery System experience
