Senior Security Engineer – Berlin (Hybrid / Flexible working)


Transition Partners is excited to be recruiting for a Senior Security Engineer on behalf of a successful and growing FinTech company based in Berlin.


This permanent role is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation during an exciting expansion phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Technologies: Implement solutions like EDR, firewalls, AWS GuardDuty, and Security Hub to meet security and compliance standards.
  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: Develop and deploy SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions to enhance detection and response capabilities.
  • Architecture & Monitoring: Advise on secure technical solutions, review existing architecture, and manage security monitoring infrastructure.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Develop automation tools to optimise detection and response processes.
  • Collaboration & Awareness: Promote secure practices through awareness training and team collaboration.


Your Profile:

  • Extensive Security Expertise:
  • 6+ years of experience in security operations and engineering.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with security architecture design.
  • Expertise in AWS security services and tools, including GuardDuty and Security Hub.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing SIEM solutions.


Technical & Cloud Proficiency:

  • Deep knowledge of AWS cloud security, network security, application security, compliance, and analytics.


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and effectively communicate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.


Location:

Berlin (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)
