Position: Global Freight Manager
YOUR ROLE:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Global Freight Manager to oversee international freight and export control. Your responsibilities will include:
- Procurement & Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for ocean freight.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Monitor market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and policies.
- Develop customs compliance policies and conduct regular audits.
- Liaise with customs authorities and monitor trade regulation changes.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and train a team specializing in international logistics and materials management.
- Set performance targets and track results.
- Process Optimization:
- Optimize logistics processes and manage global sanction monitoring.
- Collaborate with logistics and procurement to enhance customs processes.
- Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify potential suppliers globally and manage supplier relationships.
YOUR IDEAL PROFILE:
- Excellent knowledge of foreign trade and customs law.
- Over 5 years of experience in international logistics and export control, preferably in a multinational setting.
- Strong project management skills on an international scale.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP/TMS systems.
- University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Procurement.
- Fluent in English and German with excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure.
