Here is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Leader to join the executive team of the Aspire Hotel GmbH, in Berlin.

With an ambitious growth strategy, the company plan to open 20 hotels by 2027, led by a management team with over 25 years of industry experience operating more than 100 hotels.

THE ROLE


The Head of Finance is responsible for analyzing Hotel financial KPIs to support senior operations management and strategic planning for properties, and monitor sound accounting systems and practices that ensure the smooth operations of all hotels.



Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Supervision and management of the finance department in several hotel locations.
  • Preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for our management team.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting financial analysis and recommending actions to improve profitability.
  • Coordination and support in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
  • Cash flow management and liquidity planning.
  • Monitor that the finance pre-opening requirements of new openings.
  • Leading, engaging, and developing the finance team.

Background & Skills:


  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a hotel Regional / Cluster Finance Director
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of financial compliance and audits
  • Experience in leading and developing a team
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft office, especially Excel.
  • Previous experience working with the Allinvos and Datev is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in PMS financial reporting. Experience with Sihot and/or Opera will be an advantage.
