Reporting to the Project Manager, the QA/QC Manager is responsible for executing the quality on the project, organising the quality strategy, the quality Plan, the QA/QC team, and delivering and distributing technical approved documents in full compliance with the Purchase Orders and Contracts including appropriate technical standards and specifications associated with the services and equipment provided by the vendors and Installation Contractors.



General Duties

• Have a full knowledge of the Engineering package


• Have a full knowledge of the Contract with the ENGINEERING Contractor.


• Have a full understanding of the ENGINEERING Contractors Scope and Schedule and the activities and deliverables for the Project and be a driver to ensure the latter are achieved to the correct quality and in a timely manner.


• Compile all quality related documents as part of the Company manual and develop a follow up system to provide compliance, this to fulfill the ISO requirements.


• Ensure that all tasks assigned by the Project Manager are completed on time and within budget.


• Attend internal / external design reviews and other meetings, as necessary.


• Internal recruitment and organization of staff to support QA/QC activities for the project, sets targets and follows up their performance.


• Typically managing experts (3-5 including agencies for expediting services) in


• Documentation Control and Mechanical Completion


• Maintain a Holiday roster for the QA/QC team and ensure that there is adequate holiday cover at all times.


• Alignment and co-ordination with Borealis Project Management office



Requirements

• Master degree in Engineering (or equivalent)


• Mastery of English at Business level


• Knowledge of Quality systems, like ISO, Prince, 6SigmaOrganisation skills


• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Project and Quality Management


• High degree of computer literacy.


• Vast knowledge of Contracts and Budgets


• Knowledge of systems like CoConsole or equal is an asset


• Previous knowledge of Chemical installations


• Technical experience, preferably in a maintenance or Project environment working with Contractors.


• Comprehensive Onshore Construction and investment project Experience


• Working experience in multicultural environment


• Experience of polymerisation plants / crackers is an asset
