AWS infrastructure Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure components supporting our Cloud Data Platform (CDP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, automation tools, and infrastructure optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage AWS components such as EC2 instances, VPCs, security groups, load balancers, and other relevant cloud services to support the CDP.
- Deploy and configure CDP components on AWS using automation tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Ensure consistent, repeatable deployments through automation.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues, collaborating with DevOps engineers and application teams as needed.
- Provide technical support for infrastructure-related challenges.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
- Identify and implement optimization recommendations for cost efficiency and improved performance.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates for provisioning AWS resources.
- Ensure best practices are followed for IaC management.
- Stay updated on AWS services, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Proactively recommend improvements to enhance the scalability, reliability, and security of the infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience managing and deploying AWS services, including EC2, VPC, security groups, and load balancers.
- Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve infrastructure issues effectively.
- Experience with monitoring tools and techniques to ensure system performance and availability.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar.
- Solid understanding of AWS security practices, networking, and cloud architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
