Strategic Services act as advisors forour largest and/or fastest moving retained customers acrossmultiple consumer verticals. The Teamlead role itself sits acrossnew business sales (where you will be supporting in an Expertrole), and selling ongoing services into existing clients; whereyour team will lead the planning and execution of cross-channel, 1to 1 communication programs of work at scale and atpace.
Each of our customers are breaking newground, moving from CRM to lifecycle automation, and so requirethis leadership, partnership and best-in-class advice. The primaryobjective for the Strategic Services team therefore is to bridgethe gap between our advanced platform functionality and ourcustomers’ operational capabilities. We do this by defining clientand vertical specific plans to uncover end-game, strategy andtactics over 12 – 36 months, then working in partnership with ourclients to execute thisplan.
YOUR AREA OFRESPONSIBILITIES:
- You willlead a team of consultants and best platform specialists, acting asthe commercial lead with responsibility for delivering againstretained services revenue targets (predominately upselling withinour existing customer base, which isextensive).
- Your team owns and delivers our‘Transform’ retained services packages which include highlystructured services products; discovery, planning and ongoingstrategic support/platform enablement. Full training will be givenon these tools and engagement models.
- You willbe expert in delivering a mix of established consulting tools andmethodologies alongside Emarsys owned Customer Experience mappingand Operational Assessment tools. These are central tounderstanding our customer’s current position and future goals andbuilding business cases to support our retained consultingservices.
- The main deliverables for the roleare the in-depth customer workshops and the resulting 12 – 36 monthplans and subsequent strategic support required to execute theseplans.
- Operationally, you will work acrosspre-sales and service - in close collaboration with the Solutions,Sales and Professional Servicesteams.
YOURPROFILE:
- Sales/AccountManagement background (proven experience selling services in theTech/SaaS environment or a marketing agency) OR CRM/OnlineMarketing background combined with a commercially drivenpersonality.
- Deep understanding of CustomerExperience within B2C, and experience of Consumer LifecycleMarketing frameworks.
- Excellent Clientmanagement skills and strong communication & negotiationskills.
- You are rigorous, creative and businessfocused in your work, with natural ability to face senior customergroups across multiple consumer verticals and tailor your adviceand insight accordingly.
- You are used to bothproviding the strategy and staying with the customer to execute andrefine it.
- Strong team orientation and apositive leadership style that will engage and motivateothers.
- Fluent German andEnglish.
