This role requires a unique blend of deep technical understanding, data-driven analysis, and program execution discipline - paired with hands-on experience, a structured approach and commercial instincts to challenge the status quo to deliver measurable EBITDA/CASH impact.You will lead high-impact cost reduction programs across IT infrastructure, software, services, and operations. Your mandate: deliver monetary value through forensic spend analysis, structural spend optimization, vendor optimization, roadmap preparation and smart, aggressive execution including supplier negotiations. You’ll also play a pivotal role in building the cost-out playbook to create a repeatable standard process, templates, and digital tools to scale efforts across companies.This is a Director-level role for a high-judgment operator who thrives in fast-paced, value-driven environments.Responsibilities:Deliver IT Cost-Out ProgramsIdentify savings opportunities by analyzing IT spend, contracts, and resources to find key cost drivers and benchmark performance.Design actionable, time-bound savings plans with clear ownership, milestones, and measurable outcomes.Execute initiatives such as vendor renegotiations, license rationalization, cloud optimization, and demand management, ensuring savings are realized and aligned with value creation goals.Engage CIOs, CFOs, and operating teams to maintain alignment, manage risks, and communicate progress effectively to senior executives and investors.Build a Scalable Cost-Out PracticeCodify best practices by developing standardized tools, templates, and playbooks (diagnostic frameworks, benchmarking tools, benefit calculators) for repeatable delivery.Develop team capabilities by training internal and partner teams, coaching client executives, and building knowledge assets that reduce external dependency.Overall: The role blends hands-on delivery with strategic capability-building, driving immediate cost savings while creating a scalable, repeatable model for IT value creation across Alysian’s portfolio.Profile we are looking for:Essential:Experience: established experience in IT, with strong technical background (architecture/delivery) including years of experience focused on IT cost optimization and performance improvement.Proven Delivery: Track record leading large-scale IT cost-reduction programs delivering measurable EBITDA impact, from diagnosis to execution.Functional Breadth: Deep understanding across all IT cost domains — infrastructure, cloud, applications, licensing, professional services, telecom, security, end-user services, and external workforce.Commercial and Financial Acumen: Skilled in analyzing IT spend, vendor contracts, and financial data; able to build cost models, business cases, and interpret ROI.Private Equity / Consulting Background: Experience in PE-backed environments or top-tier consulting (e.g., AlixPartners, Alvarez & Marsal, BCG, McKinsey); familiar with investor expectations and value creation timelines.Leadership: Experienced in building and mentoring teams, creating playbooks, templates, and frameworks to institutionalize best practices.Restructuring & Turnaround Experience: Exposure to high-impact transformation or cost-turnaround programs.Practice Building: Experience scaling cost-out methodologies or tools across multiple clients or business units.Desirable: Advanced Analytics Tools: Proficiency with Zoho Data Prep, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, AI agents, or procurement/financial systems.Coaching & Capability Building: Skilled at training teams and clients to drive sustained performance improvement.Builder Mindset: Invests in creating reusable tools, frameworks, and intellectual property to strengthen organizational capability.Personal Attributes we look for: Strategic Thinker – sees the big picture, yet grounded in execution.Influential Communicator – credible advisor at the board level; engages and persuades with clarity.Client Obsessed – puts client outcomes and integrity first in all activities.Analytical & Curious – data-driven, hypothesis-led, with deep curiosity about emerging tech trends.Resilient & Agile – thrives in high-pressure environments, balancing multiple priorities with composure.Innovative & Entrepreneurial – identifies opportunities to disrupt and improve consistently.Team Leader & Collaborator – mentors talent and leads interdisciplinary teams effectively.Why Join Alysian Consulting?
