MES/Shopfloor Technical Consultant

Job Title: MES/Shopfloor Technical Consultant
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
Duration of Assignment: 12+ months
Work Location: Hamburg, Germany
Relevant Experience:
8+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, SAP MII/SAP ME Configuration & Development, SQL Queries, and SAPUI5. Knowledge of the Aerospace industry is an added advantage.
Technical/Functional Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and plant maintenance processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- Familiarity with SAP modules/systems such as PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), and PM (Plant Maintenance).
- Preferred programming knowledge in Java, .Net, SQL, and Oracle.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexible and quick learner.
- Experience debugging SAP UI5, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, and SQL queries.
- Experience working with SAP PP is a significant plus.
- Knowledge of integration points between SAP ME and SAP S/4 utilizing SAPMEINT is advantageous.
Experience Required
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing and quality-related shop floor applications.
- Hands-on experience in production support.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their MES requirements and prepare technical design documents.
- Conduct UAT testing with customers and resolve identified issues.
- Follow deployment and release management processes to ensure smooth delivery of MES solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Design and architect MES solutions using .Net and other relevant technologies.
- Ensure MES solutions align with the organization’s overall IT architecture.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure effective integration of MES solutions with other systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and team members.
- Participate in project planning and estimation to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Ensure MES solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
- Design solutions using “Best of Breed” business practices utilizing the Apriso Software suite, including requirements gathering, scope definition, solution architecture, gap identification, and resolution.
- Guide enterprise implementations and global rollouts with program and project managers.
- Maintain high-quality and accurate solution and application support documentation.
- Prepare maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for the organization’s systems.
- Create and distribute knowledge and information among team members and the company.
Provide assistance and cover for other team members when required.
