For our Team in Munich we are looking for an


Sr. Software Engineer/Architect (m/f/x)


Responsibilities

  • Champion analysis and optimisation of control system performance
  • Lead end-2-end performance analysis from control algorithms in Simulink to mixed-critical networked software deployments
  • Impact systems engineering and software engineering towards gapless automated process releasing software defined features
  • Drive development and integration of the analysis and generation tools as well as improvement of the run-time SW stack (e.g. OS, hypervisor, RTE)
  • Leverage research and engineering expertise in Europe for advanced study of embedded software systems
  • Drive and make professional decisions within the team as well as cross-teams work
  • Schedulability analysis
  • Timing analysis of event and time-triggered chains
  • Automated optimization of scheduling tables
  • Model-based development
  • OS scheduling, generic scheduling algorithms, SoC


Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering field
  • Deep knowledge of scheduling theory, performance optimisation, real/firm/soft real-time, worst/best/core execution time, system performance design and modelling
  • Knowledge of control algorithm development and their performance criteria
  • Knowledge of a variety of CPU architectures, RTOS, concurrent programming
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic (Adaptive is a plus) and ISO26262
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ language, python/scripting, compiler/linker and build tools such as Cmake, etc.
  • Strong systems thinker with deep understanding of real-time embedded systems and automotive ECU embedded systems, and connection with top research groups on real-time embedded system is a plus
  • Hands on experience on real-time multi-core system timing analysis and optimization, practiced on heterogeneous chip multiprocessors is a plus
  • Knowledge of middleware development
  • Experienced on heterogeneous chip multiprocessors is a plus
  • Ability to think from a top-down design perspective to drive the software architecture
  • Open-mindedness, creative thinking, willing to take calculated risks, and make informed decisions (preferable) with strong communication skills.
