Freelance German SDH/CC Transcriber (Fluent with Austrian Accent) Job Description:SDH: subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearingAs a German SDH/CC Transcriber (Austrian Accent Specialization), you’ll be responsible for:Responsibilities:SDH/CC Creation: Transcribe German videos (Series, Movies, Talk Shows, etc.) into SDH subtitles, ensuring accurate reflection of the Austrian accent and nuances.Accuracy: Ensure timecodes align precisely with the script and lip movements in every scene, not too fast, not too delayed.Sound Descriptions: Add sound effects and speaker identifiers to ensure accessibility for the deaf and hard of hearing.Adaptability: Embrace new challenges and quickly adapt to evolving requirements.Deadline Management: Thrive in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting tight deadlines.Task Summary:Create SDH transcription directly from media files (no supporting templates provided). Applicants must be able to generate full timecoding and SDH subtitles from scratch.Qualifications:Native or near-native fluency in German with strong familiarity in the Austrian accent.Excellent command of written German (grammar, punctuation, word choice, and continuity).Excellent listening skills to decipher spoken German across Austrian dialects and accents.Familiarity with Austrian TV series, movies, and culture is highly advantageous.High responsibility and punctuality.Ability to work under time pressure while ensuring quality.Attentive to detail and able to strictly follow guidelines.Stable internet connection (required to work in our cloud-based environment).Prior SDH subtitling or transcription experience is a plus.Conditions:This is a remote freelance position.Our term of payment is 30 days, and method is through wire transfer.All applicants are required to participate in unpaid technical assessments to qualify.Selected candidates will be trained in using GTS Pro (our in-house subtitling tool) for SDH creation and timecoding.If you have any questions or for your applications, please contact our Resource Coordinator at jeanele.magkawas@iyuno.com.Please use this Subject upon emailing - Subject: [Applicant] German SDH/CC TranscriberThank you in advance for your consideration Experience:Transcribing: 1 year (Preferred)Timecoding: 1 year (Preferred)Subtitling: 1 year (Required)
