Backend Engineer

About the opportunity We're looking for 2 talented Backend Engineers to join our Customer Identity segment - the team behind N26's customer verification products. You'll help build solutions that are frictionless for users, flexible, and highly secure, ensuring we verify our customers' identities with confidence while maintaining the trust of our regulators as we scale. You'll work in a cross-functional team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and autonomy. Collaborate closely with your Tech Lead on architecting new features and seeing them through to completion. Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment. Work within your cross-functional team to uphold the highest technical standards right across the product What you need to be successful: Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (note: experience of Kotlin would be a plus) Sound understanding of microservice architecture Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS Full professional proficiency in English Traits: Strong bias for action, and getting things done Ongoing appreciation and consideration for security Motivation to write code which is well-tested and well-documented Give and receive open, direct and timely feedback Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe's most talked about disruptors .
