Title: SAP Basis Consultant (Freelance – 6 Months)Location: Hamburg or Berlin, Germany Duration: 6 Months Rate: €840 per day Start Date: ASAP / FlexibleAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to support our client’s ongoing SAP landscape operations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability across a complex and modern SAP environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and administer the SAP technical environment including system installations, upgrades, patches, and enhancementsPerform system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisSupport SAP Basis activities across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, PI/PO, and other SAP platformsManage user administration, transport management, system copies, and client refreshesEnsure high system availability and implement best-practice Basis standardsCollaborate with infrastructure, development, and functional teams to resolve cross-functional issuesSupport ongoing migration, cloud integration, and system modernization initiativesMaintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement effortsProvide on-call or after-hours support as required during key project phasesRequired Skills & Experience7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experienceStrong expertise in SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA database administration, and Linux/UNIX environmentsProven experience with system upgrades, migrations, SAP kernel updates, and support packagesSolid understanding of SAP Transport Management System (TMS)Experience with Solution Manager (ChaRM, Monitoring, System Administration)Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong advantageFamiliarity with high-availability configurations and disaster recovery conceptsExcellent problem-solving abilities and strong documentation skillsFluent in English; German language skills are a plusSoft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder managementAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesTeam-oriented mindset with a proactive approachProject EnvironmentHybrid working model possible (onsite presence in Hamburg or Berlin required)Dynamic, international team and a large-scale enterprise SAP environmentOpportunity to contribute to strategic transformation and optimization initiativesHow to ApplyIf you meet the above requirements and are available for a 6-month engagement, please submit your CV, availability, and confirmation of your daily rate.
