Kubernetes Security Engineer | Red Hat OpenShift / ACS Location: GermanyLanguages: Fluent German and English Shape the future of container security within a major digital transformation initiative.We’re supporting a leading technology-driven organisation in building out its container-as-a-service platform based on Red Hat OpenShift and Advanced Cluster Security (ACS). This is a hands-on, highly autonomous technical role where you’ll be responsible for designing, configuring, and securing Kubernetes clusters used by hundreds of internal users.You’ll join a small, collaborative team with a strong Linux and open-source background that’s modernising infrastructure and moving toward full containerisation.Why JoinPivotal technical role in a strategic OpenShift/ACS rollout (approx. 40 containers).Freedom to design and implement cluster security architecture from the ground up.Close collaboration with Red Hat engineers and direct input into best practices.Dynamic, hands-on culture – a team that supports each other, even outside their core scope.Your ImpactDesign and configure Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) within existing OpenShift environments.Define and implement security policies, governance, and risk frameworks.Evaluate and address vulnerabilities and risks proactively.Collaborate with Red Hat and internal teams to ensure continuous improvement.Act as a technical advisor and knowledge champion, enabling team upskilling.Support planning of VM-to-container migration and shape the future “container-as-a-service” offering.What You Bring3+ years’ experience with Kubernetes / container infrastructure (VMware, Proxmox, bare metal).Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift and ACS (Advanced Cluster Security).Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes Security, policy management, and cluster hardening.Familiarity with Apache Ranger, OPA, or similar governance tools.Strong communication and collaboration skills – comfortable with technical and customer-facing interaction.Fluent in English, and German is a must.Nice to HaveKnowledge of Azure Security Architecture and container migration.Background in Linux engineering, DevSecOps, or cloud security.What’s On OfferCompetitive salary depending on experience.Fully remote set up possibleFlat hierarchy and direct collaboration with decision-makers.Opportunity to develop into a Service Owner for container security.Ready to take ownership of Kubernetes security and shape a new service line?Apply today or contact charlottec@montash.com directly for a confidential conversation.
