Fullstack Engineer (GIS) (m/f/d), Full-time 

 

Job description:  

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying tools that our partners and customers need to use our solutions, as well as tools used internally. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to create solutions that improve water resource management and drive impactful change in the industry. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop user interfaces to visualize the results of our machine learning models tailored to water industry applications. 
  • Transform proof-of-concept (PoC) interfaces into robust, market-ready products. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Support the building of Geographic Information System infrastructure. 
  • Use GIS systems to visualize the results of our ML models. 
  • Monitor, evaluate, and optimize performance in production environments. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in user interfaces, tools, GIS and water industry trends. 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for models, processes, and systems. 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment. 
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JS, TypeScript and other relevant languages. 
  • Experience with Frontend stacks like React, Svelte, Vue, Flutter/Flet etc.  
  • Experience with Backend libraries like Django, Flask, FastAPI. 
  • Knowledge of the openAPI standard and experience in Web-API Design. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 
  • Solid understanding of security and operational. 
  • Experience with GIS platforms (Geoserver, pygrio, Mapbender, ...) 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Enjoys collaborative work, problem solving, learning and looks forward to working in a dynamic startup environment. 


Optional: 

  • Knowledge of IoT devices, sensor data, and real-time data processing. 
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes) and tools for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). 
  • Experience in the water industry or environmental science; knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics and/or urban water management is a plus
