Position: Engineering Manager
Location: Remote (Anywhere in Germany)
Language: German (C1 minimum) and English
As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our client's core team, overseeing several crucial and exciting new Solar and BESS projects across Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of Business Development professionals, guiding their efforts to secure new projects in the realm of solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Demonstrating confidence and adept negotiation skills, particularly in EPC contract negotiations, to navigate the complexities of project execution effectively.
- Playing a pivotal role in the strategic decision-making process, including knowing when to assertively decline proposals that do not align with project goals.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to streamline project development and execution processes, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of market trends and regulatory frameworks to inform project development strategies and ensure compliance.
Required Skills:
- Relevant utility-scale renewables project experience in Germany, encompassing development and construction phases, specifically projects larger than 10 MW and ground-mounted (not rooftop).
- Experience in EPC contract negotiations, given the multitude of projects to be undertaken.
- Profound understanding of German regulations pertaining to the industry.
- Familiarity with PVsyst and AutoCAD.
- Fluent German (C1+).
Desired Experience:
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), considering the presence of co-located/hybrid projects.
- Familiarity with international environments, possibly from a multinational company background.
