Transformation - Post Merger Integration Manager

VIDA is partnering with a progressive energy business who are currently in an exciting phase of transformation. Due to continued M&A activity they seek a proven change expert to take on a newly created role.

The position is ideally based with access to Hamburg (hybrid working)

Post Merger Integration Manager (PMI Manager) you will be a key figure, leading and coordinating the integration efforts following mergers and acquisitions.

You will be responsible for managing the complexities of merging operations, processes, systems, and cultures to achieve strategic objectives and maximize value creation for the company.

You report directly to the Head of Transformation.

The role

  • Integration Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive integration strategies and plans that align with the company's overall business objectives and growth strategies
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional integration teams to execute integration plans effectively and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and targets
  • Operational Integration: Oversee the integration of business operations, processes, and systems to optimize efficiency, streamline workflows, and realize synergies
  • Cultural Integration: Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, knowledge transfer and shared values across the newly integrated organization to enhance employee engagement, retention, productivity as well as sharing of best practices between the merging entities to promote organizational learning and growth

Experience

  • Experience: 7 + years of proven experience in leading M&A and change initiatives within large, complex organisation.
  • Project Management and Financial Mindset: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation to completion while showing understanding of financial principles and performance metrics to assess the financial impact of integration activities and track return on investment (ROI)

Skills:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align integration activities with broader business objectives and market dynamics
  • Overview: Easy handle of multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, good contextual awareness and good strategic thinking skills
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness to navigate and bridge cultural differences in a global and diverse organization
  • Language: ideally Fluent in German and English

The role will be varied across a series of business units which are continuing to expand through M&A across Europe

Communication skills are vital as you will be engaging with various levels and business types
