Production & Logistics Manager

We have been active in the German market for over 80 years and offer our employees a solid and secure structure for the future. We are a looking for our new Production & Logistics Manager located in our Umkirch site (Bade-Wurtemberg).

Your field of responsibility:

The objective of this strategical position is to ensure the production and shipment program for our two sites located in Germany (Umkirch, Bade-Wurtemberg) and Switzerland (Murten, Fribourg) in terms of productivity, lead times, quality and quantity in respect of the safety rules and procedures. The role includes team management on both sites.

-Manage teams of Production and Logistics:

• Team members: Operators, Supervisors & Technicians (16 people overall).
• Develop the team, define the versatility level, and plan the training.

-Manage and ensure the production and logistics follow-up in terms of:

• Cost, Quality, Lead time: define the suitable KPIs, follow up and communicate their evolutions.
• Scale and adapt the manpower and equipment capacity according to the short- and long-term workload.
• Maintain the production tooling, equipment and machines.
• Ensure the general maintenance of the manufacturing sites.

-Define, implement, and maintain the working instructions and ERP technical data.

-Lead and participate to the continuous improvement projects (5S, manufacturing layout, Audits, QRQC, 8D, VSM, PDCA, TPM…).

-May be required to exchange diverse industrial practices with the other manufacturing sites of the Group.

-Work from the Switzerland site on a regular basis (25% to 50%).

Your requirements profile:

-Required experience: minimum 5 years in production or technical support to the production

-Required skills: team management in field operations, mastery of standard indicators (productivity, quality rate, on time delivery, delivery lead time, inventory accuracy, FIFO warehouse, warehouse optimization, etc.)

-Computer skills: Office software, Excel Pivot Table, emails, ERP

-Languages : Bilingual in German, English or French as second language

We offer:

A permanent contract, between 75k€ to 85K€ per year, 10% bonus, a company car and a telephone.
