Our client is a prominent organisation within the engineering sector, recognised for its comprehensive and reliable service offerings. Leveraging their extensive industry expertise, they deliver exceptional products, services, and solutions. To further enhance their team, we are seeking an in-house legal professional with a specialisation in IP/IT consulting.


The Role:


  • As a member of the global legal team, you will provide expert advice on a wide range of legal matters across various business units, adding value to the organisation and offering innovative solutions.
  • Your responsibilities will include offering legal counsel on all aspects of contract law, especially related to Intellectual Property and IT law.
  • You will support the IT, Cybersecurity, and OSS departments, advising on all relevant legal issues within these areas.
  • You will independently analyse complex legal issues, develop potential solutions, and provide proactive legal advice while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Drafting, commenting on, and negotiating development contracts, cooperation agreements, and agreements for both national and international funding projects will be a key part of your role.
  • You will standardise and implement processes within your area of responsibility.
  • You will harmonise contract templates and deliver training on legal and business-related topics.
  • A significant aspect of your role will involve managing legal risks from both an operational and strategic perspective, effectively communicating these to the business.


Your Profile:


  • You have completed your legal education with above-average results or possess a comparable international qualification.
  • You have significant experience working as a lawyer, either within an international law firm or in the legal department of a multinational company.
  • Your expertise includes in-depth knowledge of IP and IT law, cybersecurity, and funding projects on both a national and international scale.
  • You bring several years of experience in providing legal advice on software clearing, OSS, and associated matters.
  • You are confident, persuasive, and demonstrate initiative, resilience, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • You are adaptable, eager to embrace legal tech and AI tools in your daily work, and have a strong curiosity for learning.
  • Fluency in German and English
