Senior Site Assessment Specialist | Berlin or Remote
Amber Renewables are partnered with a rapidly growing player in the wind energy sector, an IPP committed to advancing renewable energy initiatives across Germany and Europe. With substantial investor backing and a diverse portfolio of over 20 wind farms, they are at the forefront of sustainable energy development. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Assessment Specialist to join the team.
Job Overview: As a Senior Site Assessment Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing potential wind farm sites to determine their viability and yield potential. Utilizing advanced tools such as WindPro, you will conduct detailed analyses and provide strategic insights to support the development and optimization projects. This senior position, down the line, offers the opportunity to build and lead a team of specialists, contributing to the growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments to evaluate wind resource potential using WindPro and other industry-standard tools.
- Analyze wind data and generate detailed yield assessment reports.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and evaluate new site opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards during site assessments.
- Provide expert guidance on site selection, layout optimization, and turbine selection.
- Develop and implement best practices and methodologies for site assessment and yield analysis.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and investors.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in wind energy technology and assessment techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wind energy site assessment, with a strong focus on yield analysis.
- Proficiency in WindPro and other relevant software tools.
- Extensive knowledge of wind resource assessment methodologies and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and German
