SCG Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SCG Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the SCADA Communication Gateway components in the field of HVDC control technology.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the SCADA Communication Gateway components that allow for signal switching between automation devices and communication technology integration of ancillary systems and control centres.

- Create and maintain specifications and manuals, and clarify signal lists with internal interfaces and external customers & suppliers.

- Develop and maintain the central control technology signal database (signal switching) and configure the central data gateway (IPCOMM ipConv) and other protocol converters.

- Integrate and commission various components in the test setup in Erlangen and Forchheim to ensure error-free communication between the components, including signal tests.

- Execute and support acceptance tests with suppliers and customers.

- Provide technical support during commissioning.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Proven experience as a SCG Engineer or similar role in the field of HVDC control technology.

- Strong knowledge of SCADA Communication Gateway components and communication technology integration of ancillary systems and control centres.

- Ability to create and maintain specifications and manuals, and clarify signal lists with internal interfaces and external customers & suppliers.

- Strong knowledge of central control technology signal database (signal switching) and configuration of central data gateway (IPCOMM ipConv) and other protocol converters.

- Experience in system integration and commissioning of various components in the test setup in Erlangen and Forchheim, including signal tests.

- Ability to execute and support acceptance tests with suppliers and customers.

- Excellent technical support skills during commissioning.
