Science & Diagnostics division brings together the power of leading pet health science with expertise across diagnostics, data, and technology to change outcomes in pet health. Our global veterinary diagnostics businesses Antech, Heska, and scil span point-of-care diagnostic laboratory instruments and consumables including rapid assay diagnostic products and digital cytology services; local and cloud-based data services; practice information management software and related software and support, reference laboratories, veterinary imaging and technology, education and telemedicine with board-certified specialist support services.


The Talent Acquisition Partner takes charge of the end-to-end recruitment process in multiple European countries, leveraging their expertise to identify, attract, and retain top-tier talent.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders in all aspects for assigned areas
  • Responsible to implement candidate-friendly processes that fill vacancies with the best talent to secure Mars Petcare business objectives
  • Serve as a recruitment and hiring expert within assigned business segments
  • Serve as an advocate for building a strong Mars Petcare employer reputation to provide competitive edge and continually promote Mars as an employer of choice
  • Educate and coach hiring managers on interviewing techniques and Mars recruitment philosophy, policy, and process
  • Track key recruitment metrics and budget and identify areas for process improvement to enhance candidate experience
  • Proactively identify and monitor local dynamic labor market trends, and business needs to utilize the best channels for recruitment
  • Know internal talent pipeline availability and ability to recommend when to hire internally and/or externally
  • Effectively use all Talent Acquisition systems/tools/programs to ensure alignment with Science and Diagnostics strategies and roll-up into Mars Petcare Talent Acquisition metrics
  • Identify trends and report risk to HR Leadership
  • Cascade information and key company initiatives/strategies and support changing business needs
  • Deliver process excellence and ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
  • Liaise with other departments within and outside of P&O (i.e., Compensation, Culture, Training, Talent & Learning, Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, Legal) to support one another, resolve issues, and contribute to the overall P&O strategy
  • Ensure ethical practices, in alignment with company values and Mars Five Principles


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in Corporate Talent Acquisition, in-house experience required
  • Relevant industry experiences a plus – veterinary, healthcare, biotech
  • Strong communication skills, cultural awareness, negotiation skills and advisory skills
  • Very good MS Office knowledge, ideally also knowledge of Workday
  • Fluent written and spoken German (C1+) and English skills, another language is a huge plus
  • Willingness to undertake business trips
  • Delivers results and ability to balance priorities
  • Strong listening and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Deep knowledge and expertise within full life-cycle recruitment for all positions in a complex, diverse, and high growth business
  • Ability to deliver recruiting solutions to geographically distributed hiring managers while consistently deliver profession customer service
  • Ability to interpret global process, practice local operational policies, address issues, troubleshoot for resolution and escalate issues to appropriate parties as needed


This is a fixed-term contract role for 12 months, with a possibility of extension.
