We are looking to appoint a Field Clinical Specialist based in Northern Germany or the Netherlands who has an in-depth knowledge of clinical perfusion. They will be responsible for training users in the correct, safe and effective use of our products; driving adoption of OrganOx technologies and advocating use of our products through professional and scientific engagement; participating in research and development of new products; and maintaining the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of isolated organ preservation, including future developments and the organ perfusion marketplace.


This position will report to directly to the VP Commercial, Europe and will be specifically focused on building new relationships and expanding commercial outlets within the Nordics and Scandinavia regions. This role is home-based but will involve regular travel to transplantation centres within Europe.


The Clinical Specialist will be a flexible role expected to grow as the company’s products become widely accepted. Listed below are some of the key responsibilities of the role and a brief description of some of the key tasks to be performed.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Train and support customers in the correct operation of the OrganOx metra

You will be responsible for ensuring that customers get the best possible experience of using OrganOx technologies. From initial training through to 24/7 customer support, you will ensure that our customers and collaborators feel well supported every step of the way.


Support adoption of OrganOx products

By building relationships you will ensure that customers and collaborators make the most of OrganOx technologies. You will work closely with transplant teams and scientists to understand barriers or challenges and build strategies to overcome them.


Support for Quality & Regulatory, Sales & Marketing as well as Research & Development Functions

You will act as a key liaison between OrganOx customers and collaborators and the rest of the company. That may mean reporting issues or feedback to our QA team, providing feedback to our R&D team with product usage information, or working with our sales team on market research and commercial strategy. You will provide high quality expertise to all other departments within the business.


The successful candidate will;

  • Be self-motivated
  • have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • have broad knowledge of clinical perfusion, operating theatres, recovery units, and intensive care units
  • be friendly, approachable, and customer focused
  • take an analytical approach to problem solving


It would be highly advantageous if the candidate also has experience of working in a laboratory, is conversant in medical terminology and has an understanding of systems and processes within the human body; is able to provide assistance during surgical procedures and prepared to accept a high degree of responsibility. In addition, being highly observant of people and procedures, and keeping up to date with new techniques and developments is also desirable.
