Role Description
You will be an engineer, experienced in end-to-end API development, responsible for building integrations to multiple German systems. As a Senior Engineer you will participate in scoping, researching, planning, and building integrations between our platform and a range of German systems, such as Datev, Destatis or ISBJ.
You will be at a Senior level driving the requirement phase with our larger customers partners whose systems we want to integrate with. This also means participating as a technical Sales Engineer during calls with prospective enterprise customers.
You will be part of one of their platform teams while also contributing to other areas like developer tooling, security features, and platform infrastructure. However, your primary focus will be on building integrations, and you should have extensive experience with API development and integrating with external systems. Additionally, you will engage in hands-on development work as an engineer.
What you’ll be doing:
- Expanding clients’ integration options to include APIs, Webhook systems, and integration platforms.
- Defining and constructing integrations with external systems through APIs.
- Coordinating with external system providers for integration purposes.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including customers.
- Engaging in technical pre-sales discussions with enterprise clients.
- Assisting in responding to tenders for public contracts that require integrations.
- Developing general features.
Requirements:
- Strong experience integrating systems using various technologies, including REST API, GraphQL, and queue-based messaging.
- Fluency in German, written and spoken
- Great at working in a multi cultural environment
- You love to work on highly complex interactions with other systems
- Capable of reading technical documentation and can architect solutions based on them
- You are passionate about building resilient systems and integrations
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Scala or other JVM programming languages
- Experience with PHP
- Prior experience with DATEV, ISBJ, or Destatis.
- Experience with pre-sales technical dialogues.
