Senior System Architect

Masentó are searching for a Senior System Architect to join one of our long term clients.
This position can be based in Germany or Austria and will require onsite presence - please apply for more details.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Architect and design a unified software and system ecosystem that integrates an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), a real-time runtime environment for industrial equipment, and a digital platform.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams (Hardware and Software) to ensure seamless component integration, enhancing both user experience and system performance.
- Establish and enforce best practices for software architecture, firmware development, and system design, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and maintainability requirements are met.
- Apply scaled agile methodologies to foster efficient team collaboration and timely delivery of integrated solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders from diverse domains to gather and validate requirements, ensuring the ecosystem addresses various needs effectively.
- Lead technology decision-making processes across individual products and the broader portfolio, aligning with business objectives and technology standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in software architecture, system design, embedded software development, with deep expertise in IDEs, runtime environments, and digital platforms.
- Proven track record of integrating complex software products into cohesive ecosystems, focusing on user experience and performance optimization.
- Strong technical experience in industrial automation, machine building, or the manufacturing industry, with hands-on experience in developing system/software architectures for modern automation solutions.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and gaining buy-in within a matrix organization.
- Proficient with modern software development tools, languages, and frameworks, with a strong commitment to staying informed on industry trends and advancements.
