We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Field Support Engineer, fondly known as the "Flying Doctor," to join our dedicated team. As a Flying Doctor, you will be the frontline troubleshooter, diagnosing and resolving technical issues at our customer locations for our new growth vector products such as Electric Air Compressors for Fuel Cell Vehicles.

For this role, we are proposing the following responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional on-site support to customers by diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with the development team to gather relevant information and identify the root cause of issues.
  • Address a range of failures, including software-related, calibration-related, electric electronic hardware-related, compressor-related, and assembly of the system-related problems.
  • Possess a high-level understanding of various aspects of the system to enable preliminary diagnosis and coordinate further investigation if required.
  • Utilize CANBUS tools, such as CANape, to analyze software performance and collect valuable data for issue diagnosis.
  • Conduct electrical measurements to aid in the resolution process.
  • Leverage mathematical and analytical skills to report issues accurately.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
We are looking for a new colleague that has:
  •  Proven experience in validation engineering or a related technical field is highly desirable.
  •  Proficiency in using CANBUS tools like Vector CANalyzer, CANape, and CANoe for diagnosis, data collection, and evidence gathering. 
  •  Experience in using electrical diagnostics tools (such as multimeter, current clamp meter, etc.. )
  •  Keen attention to detail, enabling the identification of actual root causes.
  •  Strong mathematical and analytical skills, enhancing issue reporting capabilities.
  •  Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challenges.
  •  Solid understanding of system and safety requirements, which aids in diagnosing issues effectively.
  •  Familiarity with system behavior and operation targets, essential for commissioning and diagnosis.
  •  Automotive diagnostics experience 
  •  Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to ensure smooth customer interactions.
  • Good English skills 
  • French & German is a plus

Please note that ability to travel to customer locations is necessary to provide on-site support. (An EU drivers license and willingness to travel within the EU is desirable)
