Growing from our roots as an investment manager, Aquila Clean Energy EMEA today is a fully fledged independent power producer with a strategic focus on solar PV, onshore wind and battery storage across our core European markets.
Aquila Clean Energy is looking to add a Corporate Intern to the Hamburg office, who will work closely with the Corporate Solutions team.
This is a ~6 month programme.
The team is reporting directly to the ACE Board (Chief of Staff) and is primarily focused on:
- Supporting ACE Management in strategic projects, taking over project management (PMO) responsibilities
- Implementing and steering internal processes, especially the investment process of renewable energy projects in Europe
- Communicating potential investment targets and project progress on existing portfolio to investors
- Managing the ACE corporate structure and interfaces with other Aquila entities, boards and group functions
- Aligning operational activities with the company's long-term strategic goals as a fully integrated independent power producer
- Ensuring that the corporate governance is in line with the company’s mission, vision and goals
- Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains within operational workflows (corporate/portfolio) and support the implementation of best practices
Your responsibilities
Supporting the Corporate Solutions Managers in…
- Project management for corporate and asset related projects
- Actively monitoring renewable energy projects through the investment, development and construction processes
- Consolidate and prepare reports for stakeholders on all projects in the above-mentioned asset-classes
- Assisting transaction, fund, and asset teams regarding the compliance with process and regulatory requirements for the purchase and sale of assets
- Troubleshooting for ad-hoc challenges, tracking to-dos and deadlines for investment projects
- Ensuring the effectiveness of documentation, examination, and consultation of internal control systems and processes
- Continuously review and optimize investment, divestment, development, construction and asset management processes
- Prepare, record, and organize regular internal and external meetings
Your qualifications
- Currently working towards or recently completed studies in business administration/economics or in the field of renewable energy
- Prior experience in investment industry, consulting, project management or energy sector would be a plus
- Solution-oriented, out-of-the-box thinking with very good communication skills
- Advanced strategic, conceptual and analytical thinking skills as well as an entrepreneurial way of working
- Experience with MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word)
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of German is an advantage
