Our client is one of Europe's fastest growing Solar PV and Battery Storage developers. Backed by a large European fund, they have built an impressive pipeline of projects across six countries. They are looking for a Grid Expert to join their team in Germany to further complement the growth of their unique and high-performing team.
Your area of responsibility:
- Processing of all grid-related matters throughout Europe, with a focus on, but not limited to, Germany.
- Processing grid connections (MV/HV) for ground-mounted photovoltaics, BESS and wind
- Requesting grid compatibility tests from grid operators to obtain grid connection conditions and connection costs
- Establishing and managing contacts with grid operators
- Grid calculations
- Preparation of circuit diagrams (LV/MV/HV)
- Creation of concepts for substations at the feed-in point
Your profile:
- Training in the field of electrical engineering (electrical engineer), completed (Bachelor's) degree in electrical engineering
- Ideally from the field of renewable energies or coming directly from a grid operator
- Experience in the integration of solar, wind energy and battery storage systems (BESS) into the grid
- Several years of experience in the energy sector
- Ideally direct contact with grid operators in Germany, or at least experience of working with them
- Experience with grid connection enquiries
- Skills in the planning and dimensioning of substations
- Training in medium and high voltage
- Comprehensive knowledge of grid planning
- Familiarity with modern smart grid technologies and architectures
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in the energy sector
- You work in a structured and analytical manner, can react flexibly and quickly to changing problems and are happy to take on responsibility
