Position Overview

As an Install & Commissioning Expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient installation and commissioning of electrical substation equipment. You will collaborate closely with project teams to oversee the implementation of complex systems, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet our clients' needs and exceed industry standards.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation and commissioning activities for electrical substation projects, including transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and control panels.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise subcontractors and field technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure work is executed efficiently and according to project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing procedures to verify the performance and functionality of installed equipment, diagnosing and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop commissioning plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting challenges, and recommending solutions to optimize performance.


Requirements for this role:

  • MUST HAVE experience with Installations & Commissioning of Substation, Transformer, GIS Switchgear, STATCOM, HVDC.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation and commissioning of electrical substations or related power systems.
  • Hands on recent experience with SF6 Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and protective devices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
