Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Senior Consultant with strong forensic accounting investigation and controls and compliance skills to join our Investigations and Compliance & Monitoring practice.


In this role, you will execute projects related to forensic accounting investigations including financial statement analysis and fraud detection within the context of financial related investigations. In addition, you will have experience with controls testing and an interest in compliance policies and procedures. You will be involved with technical accounting matters as governed by international and national applicable regulators.


As a key member of an engagement team, you will collaborate with senior client executives and StoneTurn Partners and colleagues to deliver insights and effective solutions to our clients.


Key Responsibilities

· Lead the day-to-day execution of forensic accounting investigations including gathering relevant information, performing analyses (accounting and financial related), summarizing interviews, documenting findings and proposing solutions to ultimately present quality work product to the team and client in a well-articulated manner

· Integrate with StoneTurn service lines to deliver coordinated services on forensic accounting investigations and compliance and monitoring services including teaming with technology team including data analytics, and cyber security.

· Analyze large amounts of data and summarize findings through visuals including graphs and charts

· Identify risks associated with engagements and elevate to senior management as appropriate

· Assist with engagement management administration, including billing and conflict checks

· Research emerging issues and identify market-facing opportunities

· Participate in business development and networking initiatives

· Build, develop, and maintain internal and external client relationships

· Mentor and develop Consultants across the firm by providing timely performance feedback/training and conducting performance reviews

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance or related field

· 3+ years of relevant experience within a professional services/consulting firm, prior audit or experience in forensic accounting investigations is preferred

· Advanced proficiency in Excel. Proficiency with relational databases including SQL and Access is preferred. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred

· Flexibility with potential travel requirements of client engagements (average 10 – 30%)

· Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/ written communication skills in German and English

· Demonstrated ability to structure and perform technical projects, manage team and client expectations and relationships

· Commitment to exemplary client service delivery
