We are seeking an accomplished Plant Manager to oversee our German division, based in Freiburg Germany, for a globally recognized leader in industrial technology. This role is ideal for a candidate with extensive experience in Site General Management, Change Management, and Continuous Improvement Leadership within industrial or manufacturing settings.


The selected individual will have a strong track record of driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement, specifically focusing on enhancing EBITDA, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and reducing scrap rates. As the Plant Manager, you will lead a dedicated team, collaborating across departments to establish and implement best practices and strategic initiatives that boost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive a robust operational strategy aligned with the company’s global objectives to enhance growth, profitability, and efficiency across the German division.

• Financial Performance: Increase EBITDA by executing cost management strategies, improving operational efficiencies, and implementing targeted growth initiatives.

• Operational Efficiency and Quality Improvement: Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across all sites to increase OEE, reduce scrap rates, and optimize production throughput. Use Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to streamline processes, minimize waste, and enhance productivity.

Change Management: Champion change management initiatives that drive cultural transformation toward excellence in quality, safety, and sustainability.

• Team Development: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing leadership team focused on accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Promote cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational goals.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with global leadership and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, maintaining effective communication and expectation management.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and internal quality and safety standards.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 10+ years in senior operational roles within industrial or manufacturing sectors, with extensive background in Site General Management, Change Management, and Continuous Improvement Leadership.

• Turnaround Expertise: Proven experience in successfully turning around underperforming sites, with a demonstrated ability to transform operations, improve performance, and drive a site from underperformance to operational excellence.

• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge in leading Continuous Improvement initiatives, with a track record of increasing OEE, reducing scrap rates, and optimizing plant efficiency using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.

• Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budget management, financial reporting, and cost control, with demonstrated success in improving EBITDA and other key financial metrics.

• Leadership and Change Management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse teams, especially in dynamic environments requiring change. Ability to foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

• Languages: Fluent in both German and English.
