Für unser Institut / unsere Einrichtung / unsere Organisationseinheit Navigation and Control Systems in Bremen suchen wir eine/n Masterstudentin / Masterstudent (w/m/d) Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar., Inertial Sensors are an integral part of Navigation Systems which are used in different applications in Aerospace, including but not limited to launchers and landers. The understanding of the behavior of such sensors is therefore crucial to help developing better Navigation Systems and consequently more accurate, safer and cost-effective missions.
Das erwartet Sie:At the Institute of Space Systems in Bremen, the focus of the Navigation and Control Systems Department is on research, system design, development, and simulation and verification of guidance, navigation and control systems (GNC systems) for space applications. The department also operates laboratories and facilities for testing and verification of GNC systems.
Your task is to help in the development of novel testing and characterization systems for inertial sensors, and if time allows, apply these in investigating sensor behavior in different operational scenarios:
Support and drive the proof of concept of existing system proposals, which can include
o Research on the state of the art
o Selection of components
o CAD design
o Test software development
o System simulation
o Tests execution
o Tests procedures
o System feasibility and performance analysis
If time allows, usage of the system for testing and characterizing existing sensors in our laboratories.
- Practical experience with CAD modelling.
- Basic knowledge of Matlab or Python
- Basic knowledge of systems control
- Practical experience from laboratory, workshop or production work.
- Practical experience with LabView programming
- Good knowledge of English
- Basic understanding of electronics
